FAMILY NIGHT :: Monthly birthdays are celebrated with a cultural program and birthday cake. Interested boys perform dances and skits, sing songs, and tell jokes. In this, the trainees discover their hidden talents and perhaps develop a few new ones. |

FOOTBALL MATCHES :: Coming in a close second, only to cricket, on India's list of popular sports, the boys are enthusiastic about football no matter the weather or field conditions. So far this year, they have participated in 3 challenge matches, coming out the victor once. |

|
SUMMER CAMP :: A 10 day residential camp is arranged in May each year for ragpicking and dropout boys REDS is in contact with. Field staff facilitate the program, organizing games, lessons, and unit experiences. |

|
|
DOCTOR'S VISIT :: As both the instructors and parents of the trainees, all aspects of their lives must be looked after, including regular health checkups. While basic first aid is administered at the STC, an overall assessment is is made by a local doctor once a year. |

|
|
|
GOOD NIGHT CLASS :: Although perhaps not seen as an "extracurricular activity" by the boys, teaching them proper hygiene and responsibility, along with morals and values, is an integral part of our program. Each evening, a staff member speaks to the boys about current issues and life choices. |

|
|
|
PICNICS :: Once every 4 months, the STC trainees are taken on an outing to a swimming hole or park. It is enjoyable and relaxing, allowing them to see other parts of their state. |
| |
|
|
|
REDS & MARIANIST FUNCTIONS :: When REDS programs or our Marianist brother conduct large functions or celebrate holidays, they are attended and celebrated by the STC boys. Often they perform dances to entertain the crowds, or help out with the duties of the day. |
