DAY CARE CENTERS                  
  STUDY CENTERS   Class time Play Schools were initiated to provide alternatives for mothers in the areas REDS works. These women are most often the sole earning members of the family with no one at home to look after the children in their absence. Play Schools exist to prevent children from coming to the streets and taking to ragpicking or getting involved in antisocial activities. They seek to facilitate the all-around development of the 3-6 year olds who attend the day's activities.

      CHILLI PILI MELA
Thanks to the many generous donors who support us, we were able to conduct the 2nd Annual Chilli Pili Mela on 8 December this year. Gathering over 400 children and their parents from our 10 play schools, a day of fun was organized. Chief Guest Dr. Narayana Swamy, A.C.P.-East kicked off the day, addressing the crowd on the importance of education and REDS' successful role in that. The little children performed dances, songs, skits, participated in an elaborate fancy dress competition, and ate well. Most importantly, they were able to spend a fun-filled day with their families.
